yesterday he's terminating a key nuclear missile treaty with russia. one that dates back to the cold war. did the white house give you a heads up. do you think this is a good idea, bad idea? >> you know, in my conversation yesterday with secretary pompeo, this did not come up. i don't think he was avoiding it. we just covered myriads of issues. it's been rumor ed they thought about ending this particular treaty. and there's no question that for years russia has been violating it. bolton's on his way to russia. this could be somewhat like the fact that they were going to end nafta. and then ended up negotiating some small changes and it looks like that, you know, it's going to be extended. so this could be something that's just a precursor to try to get russia to come into compliance. we've also heard, jake, that maybe they want to end the snu stark treaty. i think that would be a huge mistake. the stark treaty has worked.
