this goes to max's point about what is the role that these republican members of congress see themselves in. it seems at times that they view themselves really as president trump's defenders and his wing men and arm of the investigation, if you will, but the point about this being one part of the process, and the chairman's statement points to the fact they won't be asking about important dealings involving russia, that michael cohen is testifying to not only with the mueller prosecutors, but also in closed door hearings he's agreed to participate in with the house and senate intelligence committee. so there is a public, and for now, a private aspect to cohen's upcoming testimony. >> i wonder if these lawmakers, if they could go into the future, look at a history book -- >> couldn't we all? >> -- into the future, look at a history book, if they could come back now, how different that would be. i wouldn't want to be these guys
