jane: everybody wants to know, did this land somewhere? >> we have got no reports of an impact at all. you know, 99.9% of the time the meteors that come into the atmosphere burn up on entry, that's what we see on the trail of a shooting star -- they're generally not this large. but the size of this one could be golfball size to basketball size. jon: is it possible it was a piece of space junk? i mean, you're thinking it probably was a meteor? >> that's why i say probably. it could possibly have been a piece of space junk. it's just kind of hard to tell at this point. but this sort of thing happens on occasion, so most likely a meteor but until some more analysis of the trail is done, we can't be sure. john: so all those good folks who saw it around 10:15 last night, it wasn't e.t. phoning home? >> pretty sure. jane: pretty sure, pretty sure? >> pretty darn sure. you want to narrow it down but,
