contained. and those are your headlines. >> all right. let's get to rick reichmuth with a check of our weather. you were out in arizona a week ago, buddy. >> yeah, it was. that wall of fire is not the one at sierra vista. sierra vista, a different fire that started this week on the mexico border and they have a rough situation. windy conditions today and extremely hot across much of the southwest. this is your temperatures that you're waking up right now, you can see it's 80 in dallas. we'll break more records across a lot of texas for heat. to the north of this, we have storms now. and this morning, really significant storms right with this line moving in towards st. louis. had a tornado warning earlier. so right now in saint lut. loui might want to take cover. possibly an embedded tornado. out across the west, very, very dry. nothing going on as far as precipitation in the southwest where they need it. today we have the threat of severe weather extending from parts of the high plains, nebraska, south dakota and all
