facing a dangerous and powerful storm that could bring heavy rain as well as snow. >> the effects of hurricane sandy already being felt in the florida keys. accu-weather meteorologist jim dickey joining us with the latest. hi, jim. good morning, rob and paula. well, hurricane sandy is moving across cuba as we speak. will emerge in open waters and track across the bahamas. bringing soaking, rainfall there. outer squalls will bring flooding rain, powerful winds, tropical force at times in southern florida. this much we know for sure. also a cold front will move across the nation's midsection through today and through friday. the two systems going to interact. potential for an historic storm. now, as this cold air moves its way eastward, it will interact with sandy and moves its way northward, likely then curving the storm back into the northeast and new england. that will be a storm unlike we have seen in quite some time here if ever flooding rain, some heavy snow on the table. watch the storm headed forward. rob, paula, back to you. and jamaica, meantime is
