couple hours of heavy snow. and also, it is brutally cold out there this hour. it's minus nine in burlington. minus two in syracuse. only one in boston with the heavy snow. so as it's that cold and dry, this is a powdery, light snow. easy to brush off the car, easy to shovel your driveway. but also as it's going to be windy through the day, going to blow back, the blowing and drifting an issue going forward. we improve into the morning. by 7:00 a.m., we start to see things improve. boston, new york city, around noon by the time things improve in and around cape cod. >> let's put you on the spot, jim. and in terms of the storm with ten being the worst type of storm, one being the easiest. how would you rate this? >> i'd probably give this storm around an eight just because the path it took, it's moving more offshore. if this were to be, say, a ten out of ten, what we'd look for with these nor'easters is for it to move up the coast, talking 30 to 40 inches in the city. not quite there, but big impacts all the same. >> jim dickey, thank you for joining us live from accu-weather.
