[ cheers and applause ] >> thank you! >> we were just such fast friends. so how did you two actually meet? >> well, it's been -- what, over 20 years when we met? >> yes. >> wow. >> in college at the university of michigan, ann arbor. go blue! [ cheers and applause ] >> that's the team that always loses to ohio state, right? >> never. [ laughter ] >> never. >> so you met in college. so college, and now you have this bake shop. so how did you make the transition and you guys come together to actually decide to open up a cake shop -- cupcake shop. >> right. well, so we went our separate ways after college. she did her thing, you know i did mine. we came back. fast forward -- what, 2009? >> 2009. >> right. >> around when i was still eating burgundy cherry ice cream. >> right, right, right. [ laughter ] >> and so, we were both stay at home moms at the time. i had developed a cupcake obsession. i brought some red velvet cupcakes to a sorority dinner. everybody loved them. she especially loved them.
