Well, it could be back... In their infinite wisdom, Uefa have decided to have a third-tier European Competition. It will now be: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th go into the Champions League. If a team in the top 4 wins the Champions League, tough. No extra place, just the top 4. If the Champions League winners are outside the top 4, then it is the top 4 plus the Champions League Winners who qualify.
