Born in Dumfries, Scotland, Dr Gibson moved to Norfolk in 1965 and went on to become a passionate champion of city life, before, after and during his political career. One cause he cared passionately about was the future of Anglia Square and was one of the spearheading campaigners against the proposals to revamp it.
