Things could go from optimistic to distressful in a hurry if the Oilers do not manage to at least a split their two-game sets against the Toronto Maple Leafs (5 p.m., Sportsnet) on Wednesday and Friday, then the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday and Tuesday.
