Photo courtesy of Amanda Satterthwaite A psychiatrist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Satterthwaite completed her combined residency in internal medicine and psychiatry at the height of the pandemic at Tulane University School of Medicine — including a stint in the intensive care unit of the VA hospital in New Orleans, which was packed with COVID-19 patients. But she said nothing compares to the pressure of her undergraduate years.
