View Comments The EPISD board of trustees will delay parts of the superintendent search process to give new members a chance to adjust after the district's trustee election this weekend. With four out of seven trustees up for reelection in the May general election on Saturday, and two incumbents not running to keep their seats, new board members will help make decisions about the superintendent search. Because 17 candidates are running in the El Paso Independent School District election, a runoff is likely for at least some of the races, meaning some new members might not be installed until July. The board unanimously voted to begin an internal and external written survey process in the interim, and once new board members are seated, the new board will reconvene to set a timeline for the superintendent search and appoint members of a committee to begin community outreach efforts.
