知情人士表示，星岛在今年中国大陆房地产商收购股权之前，表面是香港左派商人、中共政协常委何柱国控股 当然何柱国的钱也是在中国大陆赚的，但真正控制星岛的早已是中共，“星岛的后面是中共控制的，这个完全没有冤枉它 说它是外国政府的代理人，很多方面完全受中共的影响。”
