However, longstanding biases and barriers often hinder them from obtaining COVID-19 vaccines. This action and accountability plan is meant to guide elected and appointed officials as they work with communities of colour to advance equity in the COVID-19 vaccination campaign. It was published by CommuniVax, an alliance of social scientists, public health experts, and community advocates who are listening to BIPOC individuals on how best to promote awareness of, access to, and acceptability of COVID-19 vaccines in their respective communities.
