First Baptist Church of Worcester helped shape Rev. John Vaughn's commitment to community

Rev. John H. Vaughn is Executive Pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta.
Some of the Rev. John Vaughn's first experiences in the community leadership that has defined his calling come from his youth as a member of the First Baptist Church of Worcester. 
Vaughn, 59, became executive pastor of Atlanta's Ebenezer Baptist Church last February, the church where Martin Luther King Jr. served as co-pastor until his assassination in 1968 and where Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock serves as senior pastor. Vaughn said he treats his role as an honor and a serious responsibility.
