Glassboro-Camden light rail project in South Jersey advances to preliminary design phase

The Glassboro Camden Line is a proposed transit project in South Jersey that would bring a diesel, light rail route to an 18-mile stretch that runs from Glassboro in Gloucester County north to Camden. The proposed project would include 14 new stops along an existing Conrail line, expanding accessibility in the Philadelphia-Camden metro area. The project has announced that a joint venture, South Jersey Transit Partners, will oversee preliminary engineering and design and project management for the next phase, which is expected to last three years.
