Gov. Abbott to Sign New Bill Cracking Down on Rioters Blocki

'Peaceful protest doesn’t include blocking roadways & preventing emergency vehicle access'
Texas GOP governor Greg Abbott is preparing to sign a bill to clamp down on protesters who
“intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly blocking an emergency vehicle operating its emergency lights or siren or a hospital entrance."
The bill will raise the penalty from a Class B misdemeanor to a state jail felony.
Abbott wrote:
"Peaceful protest doesn’t include blocking roadways & preventing emergency vehicle access."
