JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Florida State Track and Field men’s squad kicked off the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds at The University of North Florida’s Hodges Stadium on Wednesday. Isaac Grimes and Adriaan Wildschutt advanced to the NCAA Championships and an additional four Seminoles qualified for the second round on Friday. “It was a really good day,” said head coach Bob Braman. “Our stars were stars and are ready to close things out on Friday.” Florida State started and ended the day with a punched ticket. Isaac Grimes was the first student-athlete to earn his spot at the national meet after finishing third in the men’s long jump with a mark of 8.02m.
