Gymnast Kayla DiCello made history by bringing home the gold medal in the women’s all-around at the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile, the first time the United States has won in the category in over 10 years. What happened: DiCello won the women’s all-around category at the 2023 Pan American Games on Oct. 23 with a total of 54.699 points. Flavia Saraiva of Brazil won the silver medal with a score of 54.565, while fellow American gymnast Jordan Chiles bagged the bronze medal with a final score of 53.999.
