Hurricane forecasters and chasers are gearing up for the 2021 Atlantic season

The start of the Atlantic hurricane season isn’t for nearly two months, but forecasters are already hard at work getting ready for it. Storm chasers are making plans, too.
There are signs that, once again, the upcoming season could be more active than average, with an increased frequency of hurricanes possible on the heels of the most busy Atlantic hurricane season on record.
