A choir that boasts 100 members from 24 different countries has remotely recorded a multilingual Christmas carol to offer a festive message of hope. The group released the song on social media for those left stranded away from home in the lockdown. The Fermoy International Choir, in Cork, founded by Graham Clifford and Lisa Dunphy, recorded a multilingual version of Silent Night for Irish people stranded abroad, and for new Irish citizens worried about relatives and friends in their countries of birth. As part of the recording, special Christmas greetings were included in more than a dozen languages for loved ones from Brazil to Poland, New Zealand and China. Choir members also designed special Christmas cards of hope.
