Scottie scheffler, the pro golfer and current masters champion, was arrested early today after driving around the scene of a fatal accident. It happened as he was heading to the golf course for the second round of the pga championship. He was later charged with four counts, including felony assault, seconddegree assault of an officer. According to the report, the police said scheffler refused to comply with directions and then accelerated, dragging an officer who had to be treated at the hospital for scrapes and swelling to his knee and wrist. Scheffler, who made it back to the course for his delayed tee time, calls it all a big misunderstanding. Cbss Mark Strassmann is following todays whirlwind developments. Guys. Dude. Stand back. A detective says he told him to stop. Reporter this criminal complaint details scheffler refused to comply and accelerated forward, dragging a detective to the ground and injuring him. Scheffler was arrested near the entrance of the valhalla golf club. And less than four hours later, he teed off in todays second round of the pga championship. Schefflers attorney said the golfer never at any point assaulted any officer with his vehicle. [cheers and applause] scheffler has dominated the pga this year. Just last month, the 27yearold won the masters, golfs most prestigious tournament, for the second time. Hotel Surveillance Video obtained by cnn seems to show media mogul Sean Diddy Combs running down a hallway, chasing thengirlfriend singer cassie ventura. Combs, wearing a bath towel, then grabs her by the back of the neck, throws her to the ground, and kicks her. He kicks her again, as she lies motionless on the floor, before dragging her back down the hallway. A different camera angle appears to show combs throwing a vase at ventura. The video seems to corroborate some of the allegations detailed in a nowsettled lawsuit filed by ventura back in november, stating that around march 2016, combs became extremely intoxicated and punched her in the face, giving her a black eye, which prompted her to try to leave the hotel room. The lawsuit also accused combs of rape in 2018. In march, authorities raided combs mansions in california and florida as part of a federal investigation being handled by a team that deals with human trafficking. Combs has faced at least five civil lawsuits since november, ranging from Sexual Misconduct to sex trafficking. In december, combs posted on instagram, let me be absolutely clear i did not do any of the awful things being alleged. We see this very graphic video. Does this weaken his credibility .
