Share: Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) has teamed with Drone Express, a division of Telegrid Technologies Inc., on a pilot program to offer groceries delivery by autonomous drones. Look, Up In The Sky! The pilot program will be conducted this week near the Kroger Marketplace in Centerville, Ohio, with Drone Express pilots operating their flying grocery delivery vehicles from both an on-site trailer and an off-site center. If all goes well, drone deliveries from that supermarket will commence later this spring. A second pilot program is scheduled this summer in California with a grocery store belonging to Kroger’s subsidiary, Ralphs.
