L.A. County Hits Threshold To Re-Open TK-6 In-Person Learning Officials with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LADPH) confirmed Tuesday that the county had hit the threshold necessary to re-open in-person instruction for elementary school students in grades TK-6. Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis confirmed that Tuesday marked the fifth consecutive day in which the number of new daily COVID-19 case rate stood at 25 per 100,000, allowing students in grades TK-6 to re-open for in-person learning. “I’m encouraged with the recent progress that the residents of Los Angeles County has made in combating the pandemic,” Solis said. “Our cases and hospitalizations continue to significantly drop since the winter surge.”
