Dining at the reopened Lucca restaurant in downtown Canton left myriad positive impressions. One stood out the most — steam that rose in waves when I poked a fork into the homemade pappardelle noodles in a bowl of Bolognese. From the first bite to the last, steam was still visible — a testament to the freshness, culinary skill and overall quality on a recent Saturday evening. News of Lucca's rebirth under new ownership at the same 228 Fourth St. NW location was met with jubilation from many in the online foodie community. The menu is similar but tweaked, and the spring version currently is featured.
