Maharashtra and Centre disagree on power outage cyber attack

The Maharashtra government report on the possible cyber attack causing Mumbai's power outage has found several instances of unaccounted data and suspicious login attempts.

Mumbai: As per a report submitted by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell to the Home Minister, there were several attempts to login or hack into the Maharashtra Power Department infrastructure from IP addresses blacklisted by international internet rating agencies. The IP addresses are said to be originating from outside Indian shores and some of these hacking attempts were successful.
