Premium Content Subscriber only They might be miniature in stature but Cupcake and Shorty have bought big smiles to the faces of residents at a Sunshine Coast nursing home. The 12-year-old mini horse and the 24-year-old Shetland pony brightened the day at Estia Health's Nambour home on Tuesday by attending a special morning tea as part of an animal therapy program. The facility is home to more than 70 residents who require various levels of care. Estia Health lifestyle co-ordinator Wendy May said she was inspired to bring animals into their lives after being brought up around them. "They are going to bring so much love and joy to the residents here," she said.
