Murphy, Persichilli tour Jersey City vaccination site as city asks for more doses Updated Feb 23, 2021; Facebook Share New Jersey’s second most populous city has just one vaccination site open and has never received more than 1,000 doses in a week. Officials say they’re doing the best they can to vaccinate the city’s senior population, but like most other vaccinators, they’re begging for more medicine. That’s why Mayor Steve Fulop invited Gov. Phil Murphy to see just how well the site is performing and how much more it could handle, he said. Murphy accepted the offer and came for a tour Wednesday with state Health Commissioner Judy Persichilli.
