Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley is looking back on their humble beginnings… but not so fondly. In an interview with “Billboard,” the rocker says the band’s 2001 major label debut “All Killer No Filler,” in his opinion, “wasn’t that great.” The album is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and Deryck says fans still tell him how much the album means to them. But he’s “never quite understood” the hype, saying he’s not sure “if it holds up.” Even though it did so well, he almost feels “ashamed [of his] own success.” “In some way, I feel like it snuck through and everyone's going to find out soon that it's not that good. Like I sort of cheated my way, somehow,” he adds. “I think if I listen to it now as I'm older, maybe I can be a little bit more objective. But for the longest time, I thought it wasn't a very good record."
