Nature critical to infrastructure for sustainable development – UN

New report titled Nature-based Infrastructure: How natural infrastructure solutions can address sustainable development challenges and the triple planetary crisis is published by UNEP, UNOPS, and the University of Oxford; It highlights how nature-based infrastructure solutions can influence 79 per cent of all targets across the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Nature-based infrastructure solutions address the infrastructure gap while simultaneously making progress on sustainable development, climate change and biodiversity. Report also highlights the key contributions of nature-based infrastructure solutions to the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework targets and to mitigation and adaptation objectives within the Paris Agreement.
