TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The No. 19/RV Florida State swimming and diving teams were selected by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a Scholar All-America team for the Fall of 2021. The 19th-ranked men posted a GPA of 3.06, while the RV women finished at 3.47. It’s the sixth-straight semester both teams have recorded about a 3.0 team GPA. “We’ve always shown great pride in our work in the classroom,” FSU head coach Neal Studd said. “These student-athletes are tremendous with their studies, and they do a great job balancing their workload. Given all that we’ve had to adapt to this season, our teams have stayed on top of their academics, and I am very proud of them.” The women’s team was one of 519 to earn eligibility for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings. In total, 728 teams from 450 colleges and universities earned the honor across all NCAA divisions after turning in GPA's above a 3.0. Greg Earhart, CSCAA Executive Director highlighted Florida State's achievements noting, Coach Studd is one of the mainstays of our sport and here is another reason way. These 84 men and women are some of the best ambassadors that Florida State and the ACC could ask for. Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation’s first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development. The Seminoles will host Tampa on Friday at the Morcom Aquatics Center at 2 p.m. The senior class will be recognized prior to the meet.
