A news release Wednesday from District Attorney James Martin says Za Uk Lian, 45, of South Whitehall Township pointed the gun at a crowd of people, then confronted two people to try to take their vehicles after he allegedly shot and killed 31-year-old Ramon Ramirez. The release says Lian arrived at the Wawa on Route 100 in Upper Macungie at 4:48 a.m. on Wednesday, April 21. Lian allegedly drove up next to a parked Jeep and shot the driver. There was no interaction between them before the shooting, the release says. The victim’s condition has been upgraded to critical, it says.
