Pentagon: Chinese blockade on Taiwan would be 'monster risk'

Senior Pentagon officials have warned that a Chinese blockade on Taiwan would be a significant risk for Beijing and likely to fail. They stated that a military invasion of Taiwan would also be extremely difficult due to the island's mountainous terrain and the Taiwan Strait separating it from mainland China.
