Phantom Space acquires StratSpace in pursuit of becoming a turnkey space service Even as 2021 shapes up to see a record number of launches, demand is growing fast. Companies like Phantom Space Corporation aim to fill it with mass manufacturing techniques never yet seen in the space industry. Now the company has acquired StratSpace, a satellite program designer and manager, Phantom Space announced Tuesday. It’s a critical step toward building out a turnkey space transportation and manufacturing service, Phantom Space co-founder Michal Prywata told TechCrunch. “[StratSpace] has all the know-how, all the tools, the satellite structures, communication systems that can make a spacecraft operate,” he explained. “Which is very critical for us, because we want to be one of the first companies that covers that full spectrum of service from start to finish.” The company declined to disclose the terms of the acquisition.
