Subscribe Porto's new location at 19467 West Nordhoff Street will be 24,150 square feet, with 2,700 square feet of outdoor patio space, according to a proposal submitted to the Northridge West Neighborhood Council. Since Sears filed for bankruptcy in 2018, the space at the Northridge Fashion Center has been vacant. To hold fans over while they wait, the Cuban bakery announced on its Instagram that it would begin selling its popular pastries at the Northridge Farmers Market every Wednesday at the mall's parking lot on Tampa Avenue. Subscribe Porto's opened its first location in Echo Park in 1976, and then opened its flagship store in Glendale. Since then, it has expanded to Burbank, Downey, Buena Park, and West Covina. Northridge will be the store's sixth location.
