Honest prayer is not reliant on what building you are in In light of recent discussions about the reopening of churches for Easter ceremonies, I would like to share a thought. While I fully understand that Easter is a major event in the Church calendar and is pivotal to Christian belief, and as a believer I recognise the significance of Easter, I hasten to add that the reality of Easter is not dependent on whether churches are open for public worship or not. Luckily for us, we do not have to go into a church building to find Christ, he is always accessible, anytime or place – “I am with you always” (Matthew 28:20). Public health must come first in all decisions and no church should put its needs above this or seek exceptions.
