Manhattan: Each year in New York City, hundreds of young people transition out of the child welfare system and into adulthood β a moment when their needs are most significant, yet resources are limited. Supporting youth entering adulthood is a universal value, but itβs even more critical for those who have experienced foster care. Often, these individuals experience multiple overlapping traumas, and for them to transition into adulthood effectively, it is essential that supportive services and programming be available to facilitate healing and growth.
