SOUTH WALTON — The St. Joe Company has sold each of the 23 home sites in its new Watersound Camp Creek community at an average cost of $446,000. The 23 lots are the initial phase of the new community that is adjacent to Camp Creek Golf Club and the adjacent amenities that are being constructed. The lots were offered in October 2020 and each will have custom homes. The past year has been great for real estate agents in Walton County and next door Bay County, as both their housing markets grew in the third and fourth quarters. During the COVID-19 pandemic and an economic crisis, closed sales went up 34.4% year-over-year in Bay County in the fourth quarter, according to Florida Realtors. Meanwhile, Walton County closed sales rose 49.9% year-over-year for the same period.
