Capital markets folks agree that it is not that bad: Freddie will only purchase second homes and investment property loans that were underwritten by LPA. Not DU. And nearly everyone has the Freddie variance that allows them to sell DU loans with certain overlays. It is not the end of the world. Senior management is much more concerned with the seven CFPB notices rescinding certain COVID-19 regulatory flexibility notices issued between March and June of last year.
