Photo: Jungho Kim, Special to The Chronicle San Francisco city officials want to place a new public art installation honoring Black lives around the empty pedestal where a statue of “Star-Spangled Banner” lyricist Francis Scott Key once stood in Golden Gate Park. Mayor London Breed announced plans on Friday, May 7, to install the sculpture “Monumental Reckoning” by Bay Area artist Dana King in the park’s Music Concourse by June 19.
