Storms forecast as huge tides, rain, winds smash southeast :

 
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast thunderstorms to hit southeast Queensland this afternoon, continuing the region's wet weekend with more severe conditions.
Coastal parts of Brisbane to the Gold Coast and Wide Bay & Burnett areas are mostly likely to receive the severe storms this evening, with a possible storm predicted for the Darling Downs and Granite Belt region.

The weather warning comes as 150mm plus of rain was dumped on the Wide Bay & Burnett region since 9am this morning, with Fairlies Knob recording 155mm and Boompa Road recording 149mm.
