general is talking to victims as part of this review. now, it's important to note that this is not a full grown inspector general investigation yet, this is a review to determine if such an investigation is needed, but it is -- it is notable given the criticism that we've heard from some victims and former officials who say that when they came forward, particularly in the early days to report that they were sort of experiencing what we now understand to be havana syndrome, that they were essentially gas lighted by skeptical agency leadership and as a result, they say, didn't receive the care that they should have in a timely fashion. >> well, it's good that it's now being taken seriously, but these first cases were reported in havana, cuba, but that's not the only place that we're seeing them. where else are they popping up? >> we've seen about 200 cases overall over the last five to six years since these were first beginning to be reported. we do understand now from our sources that there appears to be a bit of a spike at the moment
