might be missing. joining me from los angeles, cnn senior political analyst ron bronstein. good to see you, ron. this is incredible right? i mean this is a story of a alleged computer crashes, backup tapes. where is it heading now, that we have a number like 24,000? >> 24,000 potential e-mails that the irs watchdog says had been erased. you can see why republicans on the committee investigating this are so frustrated. there's no question that the erasures according to the irs -- the person investigating this occurred after there was a document request in place. on the other hand they concluded there was no evidence that it was done deliberately to destroy evidence in the investigation. that they could not prove that it was not simply part of the routine destruction of redundant e-mail records. and so i think it's enormous frustration. you can understand why
