wants and ted cruz knows he may be able to get, not based on what he says about donald trump, not based on attacking trump or his policies, but just not being trump and not necessarily being the guy who's leading on some of these issues out there and in some cases perhaps being outlandish or provocative. ted cruz feels like he's the more pal atable alternative. if he attacks trump, trump supporters may be turned off by that. i think it's tactical, smart thinking by ted cruz. i don't think carson will get the momentum he had back. that's unlikely. the wild card for this is rubio. if he decides it will get fiery between the two top. that's an exchange i'd be looking for in the debates this week. >> i think buck is right. we have a situation where dr. ben carson is dropping and mr. trump has actually broken the creeling that no one said he could break. it doesn't make sense for senator cruz to go after trump
