mulvaney, a former member of congress, inviting republican lawmakers to camp david, including spouses, for a little r&r. there is some conversation, sometimes the president will call in, but it's a way to keep the republican allies close to, at least in this case, the chief of staff. now, there are a couple interesting aspects to this story. number one, the president doesn't go himself. now, it's been reported that the president isn't overly found of camp david. it's rustic. there are separate cabins, some restrictions of cell phone use because it's basically treated as a classified scif. but what's interesting is the president's just calling in. so it's not as though he's really wining and dining and being full part of this. but to me, alex -- we talked about this earlier -- there are a whole lot of things that the white house has, goodie bags, they can hand out as favors, whether that's a round of golf with the president, inviting people over to white house movies or to watch a sporting event. the president has done some of that. other presidents have done some of that. it's always interesting to me to see how different presidents
