2 news. detective ryan stevenson died saturday night when sean james threw a piece of concrete hitting detective stevenson in the head. investigators say it happened over an argument over a parking spate. a viewing is tomorrow from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and second viewing will be held on sunday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. the funeral service is scheduled for monday at 11:00 a.m. new antioch baptist church. a interrogation of a suspect may not be shown in the trial. detectives questioned saunders even after he said he didn't want to talk and didn't inform him of his miranda rights. he is one of four people killing brian betts. he was found dead at his home back in april. a former student charged with the murder of a death of a frostburg basketball player has pleaded guilty l. a jury sent a note saying they were having difficulty reaching a decision. hall shot and killed the basketball player. he agreed to a possible maximum sentence of 8 years in prison. and now to a developing story. the life of a pace university football player comes to an abrupt end. 20-year-old dan roy henry was shot and killed by police outside a bar. the absolute truth has been hard to come by but police claim they had to use deadly force when henry hit two officers fleeing in his car. teammates insist he was simply moving the car out of a fire lane as instructed by officers. >> our son was filled with love and empathy for people and he put his family first. >> d. j. henry will be buried a week from tomorrow the same day he would have turned 21. in democracy 2010 tonight early voting kicked off across maryland and anne arundel county where a loot of attention is on the referendum to bring slots to the arundel mills mall. statewide early voting is estimated to cort 2.5 million to $3.2 million. voters also turned out in hartford county as well. you still have time to take advantage of the state's early voting process. centers will be open through october 28th except for sunday october 24th when they are closed. you can find the early voting center nearest you by going to the state board of election's web site. this weekend former new york city mayor rudy guiliani will be campaigning with former governor robert erhlich in clarksburg. with less than a week and- a-half of campaigning before the midterm elections president obama is still stumping for the democrats. the president made a stop in california hitting up fundraisers in silicon valley and la firing up deposition to head to the polls. democrats are struggling for the women's vote which gave the president a number of available jobs rose in maryland, but the number of people looking for work rose even faster. the unemployment rate inched up to 7.5% from 7.3% in august. 7300 jobs were cut in the state in the month of august. the next time you stop in for a big mac it's going to cost you a little bit more. mcdonald's plans to raise its prices in the u. s. and europe. this is the first price hike for the fast food giant in more than a year. mcdonald's has been struggling to try and attract customers. employees at the former espn zone at the inner harbor will rally to call attention to their class action lawsuit. they filed a suit against disney change it failed to notify them before shutting down the restaurant in june. more than 150 workers were shocked to find out they would be out of a job in less than a week many learning from facebook and local news reports. marchers will march monday in front of the federal courthouse. juan courthouse. why juan williams says he should not have been fired and some are calling for congress to withdraw funds from public radio. it's a supplement that's supposed to help expectant moms. some local lawmakers are voicing their support for question 8. in the senate. and harris was the only one to vote against extending education for special needs kids. no wonder his republican colleagues think he's too extreme. we can't afford his extreme ideas. i'm frank kratovil and i approve this message oo public safety is a governor's most important job. that's why governor martin o'malley has instituted new dna and fingerprinting technology that's reducing violent crime... new, stronger domestic violence and abuse legislation... and o'malley passed new laws to better track and convict sexual predators, with even longer prison sentences. as a father of four, i know there's always more that we must do to protect our children and make maryland an even safer place to raise our families. . a touching memorial hon organize the lives lost to domestic violence was sandsized. it happened last weekend in front of the unitarian universalist church in churchville k joins us with how police are trying to figure out who did it and why. what a disturbing story. >> reporter: it's not the property damage most are concerned with here. the police report says it's upward of $200 at the most. the most disturbing here is the message this vandalism september p. along route 22 in churnville they stand every year. plywood cutouts of men, women and children all with a magazine that tells the story of their death by domestic violence. >> every year when we start putting them up it's just putting those silhouettes up and seeing the story of these people's lives and how they ended. it is very, very powerful. >> reporter: rev. lisa ward runs the unitarian universalist fellow ship church in hartford counties. they put the silent witness display for domestic violence awareness month. it is a powerful seen that often draws the right kind of attention. >> as seen in these pictures from last weekend, violence struck hard once again. >> sadness, and when we were trying to fix them again put the statue is up just a feeling of the violence. a feeling of the violence trying to destroy the the display. it was just prevalent. >> reporter: a painful irony subjecting the memory to the same kind of violence that originally took these lives. their stories once again beaten and broken. >> the thought that the vandalism did something to destroy something that had such a positive message that that church was reaching out to the community with is something we're looking into seriously. >> reporter: but in reality the hartford county sheriff's office has little to no physical evidence of who vandalized this display and made to rely on tips. the hope here is that whomever did this didn't quite understand exactly what they were defaceing. but the profiles, plaques and painful stories are hard to miss. a profound and powerful message witness to violence once again. >> it just added to the witness of these silhouettes who have already been killed. now they witness to violence that okay can you remember even from the news of their death you know. and so it's a double edged violence. >> reporter: the church says it has fixed most of the damage. it will continue to put up the display every year which we're told does draw local improvement on either count. some 4,000 australian women took either dha fish oil capsules or a placebo. those who took the dha did no better than the other group on a depression scale 6 months after pregnancy. likewise, babies born to the dha moms had no greater mental or physical skills. however, there were notably few er premature birth among the women who took the fish oil capsules. they say
