Vaccination
As Florida passes the million mark for people getting vaccinated against COVID-19, the travel industry is pointing to the vaccine rollout as the best reason to plan a vacation.
"People are sick of being cooped up," CEO of the US Travel Association Roger Dow said.Sign up for our Newsletters
The association is promoting Jan. 26 as National Plan For Vacation Day. He's predicting major attractions and resorts will see a travel surge as more people feel safer and protected.
"It will be a fulcrum to get people traveling again and I'd like to see as many people get vaccinated as possible as quickly as possible and again. I think Florida is probably doing the best job in America of getting that done," Dow said.
