More recently, during my ongoing weight loss experiment, I can definitely attribute drinking coffee toward some successful weight loss. My habit is to drink a cup three times a day: in the morning with breakfast; during the early afternoon; and, once again at late afternoon. In fact, a fourth cup might do me even better as multiple studies recommend this many cups of coffee per day not only for dieting, but for mental health as well. I find that for me, coffee does have natural appetite suppressing activity. Moreover, drinking coffee might be associated with controlling insulin levels, which of course is one of the factors of metabolic syndrome, obesity and Type 2 diabetes.
