By City News Service Mar 14, 2021 NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - Two people were killed in a crash triggered by a speeding motorist in North Hollywood who lost control of his vehicle, killing a pedestrian and one of the occupants inside his car, authorities said today. The motorist was speeding northbound on Vineland Avenue about 6:30 p.m. Saturday, when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a pedestrian, said Officer William Cooper of the LAPD's Media Relations Section. The pedestrian, a 37-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene, Cooper said. The initial report, in the 11000 block of West Oxnard Street Saturday, indicated a vehicle crashed into a liquor store, ejecting one person and trapping three others inside, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
