Facebook Share Orange Beach Mayor Tony Kennon’s concerns about non-residents receiving the COVID-19 vaccine before Alabama residents is resonating among the snowbirds who visit the state’s coastal area each year. Kenn Krouse, president of the Wisconsin Snowbird Club, said Thursday that he can understand the frustration of local residents waiting for a coronavirus vaccine. He said that there are not vaccination clinics set up in the coastal area, and that residents in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, along with the winter visitors who are of retirement age, must drive approximately one-hour away to a vaccine clinic that has been set up at the Daphne Civic Center.
